Their voluntary partnership with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) ensures their products meet the high standards of the ENERGY STAR® program.

This annual certification, verified though an independent audit, is used to distinguish corporations that effectively manage how their activities, products and services impact the environment.

Kyocera’s commitment to the environment is the basis of their voluntary partnership with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), ensuring their products meet the high standards of the ENERGY STAR® program. As the government-backed, trusted symbol for energy efficiency, the ENERGY STAR label identifies high efficiency and designates superior energy performance in business products. For more information on the ENERGY STAR program, please visit www.energystar.gov.

Kyocera manufactures energy compliant printers, monochrome and color multifunctional products (MFPs), as well as wide format devices. Many of these products employ their patented ECOSYS Technology, a printing solution that incorporates long-life consumables with an industry-leading low Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

ECOSYS Printers

Printers that have earned the ENERGY STAR label can significantly decrease the device’s power use. ENERGY STAR qualified printers automatically enter a low-power “sleep” mode after a period of inactivity. Spending a large portion of time in low-power mode not only saves energy but helps printers run more efficiently and last longer. Since office equipment is generally kept on 24 hours per day, power management features are important for saving energy and energy-related costs.

Multifunctional Products (MFPs)

Monochrome and Color Multifunctional Products (MFPs) combine printing, scanning, copying and faxing into one space-saving unit. When powered down, MFPs that have earned an ENERGY STAR rating can considerably reduce energy costs associated with use. Low-power mode saves energy while helping MFPs run more efficiently and last longer. Since most MFPs are left on for long periods of time, power management features are critical for energy conservation.
